Mr. Waseef Asghar ran a boutique Investment Advisory practice for nine years, which successfully advised on investments across all asset classes and geographies. Highlights included asset management of a $1bn portfolio for an ultra HNW client, structuring one of the largest residential acquisitions in suburban Paris, and advising on an MBO for a listed IT company on the South Africa Stock Exchange. Prior to that, Mr Asghar was an Executive Director at Gulf Finance House for six years. He undertook a number of roles including Fund Manager and Head of Structuring for Asset Management. He was responsible for the first Shari’ah compliant real estate funds in the UK and France, and successfully exited the funds at exceptional IRRs. Mr Asghar has worked for other blue chip organizations including PWC and IBM. He holds an MA from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and is a qualified CIMA accountant.
